“Mindfulness practice is rather like weaving a parachute: it’s better to do some of the weaving every day, rather than leaving it all until you are just about to jump out of the plane!” - Jon Kabat-Zinn

The problems of stress in the workplace are well known.  It is usually the hardest working and most conscientious employees that are at most risk from burn out, and often the problem isn’t recognised, or support isn’t asked for, until it’s too late.

This course is for any company that wants to improve the wellbeing and resilience of their employees.  The mindfulness skills learnt will benefit both their work and home life.

This course has been created by the Oxford Mindfulness Centre and is based on the bestselling book, Finding Peace in a Frantic World by Mark Williams and Danny Penman.

Delivered online over 6 weeks the course themes include: Waking up to the life you have, Gathering the scattered mind, relating differently to thoughts and worries, practising kindness and nourishing activities.

Each session includes a combination of formal meditation, cognitive exercises, reflection and discussion.  There will be home practice of 30 mins each day which will include meditation, creating new habits and ways of bringing mindfulness into everyday activities.

The handbook for the course is the book Finding Peace in a Frantic World.

Designed for the workplace this online course is ideal for teams who work remotely.  Carried out over 90 minutes sessions over 6 weeks.
